Completely free of petroleum and animal materials
Veja consistently relies on ecological materials and avoids plastics derived from non-renewable resources. Where synthetic fibers are necessary, they come from recycled sources, such as old PET bottles. This outdoor all-rounder therefore rightfully deserves the "vegan" label – neither petroleum-based nor animal-derived materials are used.
Innovative materials: sugar cane, rice and natural rubber
The Dekkan impresses with its resource-saving materials: natural rubber from the Amazon, sugar cane, and rice. The midsole is made of 70% sugar cane, while the robust outsole is made of 30% rubber and 5% rice waste. The Alveomesh upper is made entirely of recycled polyester, complemented by TPU and rubber reinforcements for additional grip.
