The PAPERO brand is based in Markt Schwaben, Upper Bavaria, not far from Munich, and is all about sustainability, minimalism, and veganism, or, to quote the brand itself: “It’s time for a green rebellion.”

PAPERO's backpacks, bags, and accessories are all made primarily of paper, as the name suggests—more specifically, extremely robust, waterproof, and washable kraft paper produced in Germany and certified by FSC® and PETA. Production itself takes place under fair working conditions in China. PAPERO donates a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit organization Primaklima eV, which supports reforestation projects.

In terms of design, PAPERO relies entirely on functional minimalism, rooted in Scandinavian minimalism. No detail is too much, no detail too little. At the same time, the brand's explicit goal is to keep its ecological footprint as minimal as possible. All materials used are renewable and biodegradable, or they can be recycled. Maximum sustainability and minimalist design—that's PAPERO.
