The name ETHLETIC stands for maximum social and ecological responsibility. All of the brand's shoes are vegan and manufactured in a factory in Pakistan under fair working conditions. The company's commitment thus represents an important contribution to sustainable development in a region ravaged by crisis and violence.

Renewable and natural raw materials are used wherever possible in the production of the shoes. Natural rubber from Sri Lanka is used for the soles and as glue, while the organic cotton is supplied by smallholder plantations in southeast India that cultivate cotton in mixed crops. The cotton carries the label of the Fairtrade organization FLO; the rubber carries the label of the environmental organization FSC, which specializes in ecological forestry.

Incidentally, the plantations where the natural rubber is harvested also contribute to climate protection. One hectare of these plantations absorbs seven times more CO² than one hectare of rainforest. ETHLETIC shoes are therefore a genuine alternative to conventional footwear on every conceivable level.
