The history of ECOALF dates back to 2009. That's when Alfredo, the son of Javier Goyeneche, the founder of ECOALF, was born. He began to think about what kind of world his son would have to live in if we didn't quickly change our approach to resources, the environment, and nature. The thought never left him, and he came to the conclusion that he had to do something himself.

Goyeneche founded a sustainable fashion label and named it after the person who, without knowing it, had given him the idea in the first place. The Eco in ECOALF stands for ecología, and the Alf for Alfredo. Goyeneche wanted to create fashion that would no longer waste our planet's natural resources, because there is no Planet B. This is our home, and we should treat it as such.

Goyeneche's answer to the waste of raw materials is recycling. Many of the materials used are recycled, for example, from plastic waste that pollutes our oceans. Others are renewable and come from organic farming. All are carefully selected with the goal of causing as little harm to our environment as possible. This also includes ECOALF working only with suppliers that are at least Bluesign or OEKO-Tex 100 certified.

However, ECOALF doesn't just stand for sustainability and recycling. It also stands for innovative design that combines urban style and functionality, easily rivaling that of conventional brands.
