N'go Shoes | Vegan Sneakers

The story of the N'GO Shoes brand began in 2016 in the French city of Nantes, when two friends, Ronan and Kévin, developed the idea of "social sneakers." Social sneakers, in other words, weren't just about stylish shoes, but also about making the world a better place.

Kévin had just returned from a long trip through Mexico and was still vividly aware of the social inequality that exists on our planet. Ronan had worked for an NGO in Vietnam for two years and had very similar impressions. They had recognized that two things that could change this inequality were well-paid work and education. The NGO was supposed to provide both.
Ronan and Kévin immediately began developing initial samples, and by April they had launched a crowdfunding campaign that far exceeded their expectations. Just three months later, the first sneakers were shipped. Since then, the range of styles in N'GO's product line has expanded significantly and now includes a number of PETA-certified vegan models.

N'GO shoes are manufactured in Vietnam, creating jobs with fair working conditions. At the same time, all shoes use artisanal fabrics made by traditional artisans from the Tai Don ethnic minority in northwest Vietnam. This not only keeps traditional crafts alive but also creates jobs in a region that benefits less than others from Vietnam's economic boom.

However, N'GO's social commitment is particularly evident in its support of educational projects. Two percent of its revenue goes to the NGO Sao Bien, which builds schools in rural areas of Vietnam and thus strives to provide equal access to education for all. The first school in whose construction N'GO was involved was built in December 2017. N'GO combines fashionable design with social responsibility, because every step counts. And if you take it in the right shoes, all the better.
